DIRECTOR NOTES

After receiving Mark Gaddis’ inventive script, A LIFE’S WORK, I started thinking of all the women in my life who may not ever walk on the moon, or “Norma Rae” their way into history but who still have managed to inspire a generation of children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  I find women quite powerful for many reasons but especially because they fight so many difficult daily battles and never ask for a congratulatory pat on the back or even a thank you.  We men need a lot of encouragement but women seem to be the backbone of many families, businesses and political machines but never quite receive the kudos they deserve.  For me, A LIFE’S WORK, is an homage to specifically blue-collar working women everywhere.
